| Friends House provides housing and vital support services to people living with AIDS who were formerly homeless or marginally housed. Our residence in midtown Manhattan houses 50 men and women in studio apartments. Friends House is an example of a supportive housing program, which combines permanent, affordable housing with on-site case management services. Supportive housing has been proven to be the most cost-effective approach to homelessness, particularly for people with special service needs, such as people living with AIDS. |
