Half of the new AIDS infections in the U.S. affect people under the age of 25. Friends House has partnered with area NYC high schools to offer presentations by our residents on HIV/AIDS prevention.
   
 PREVENTING HIV/AIDS
When Joe got sober after many years of an active drug addiction, he says that he knew he could not go back to live in the Bronx. He is sure that he would have returned to a life of drugs and crime. Instead, he found a place at Friends House in 1999.
